I just noticed the member count as I was reading comments on my blog this morning...
Who was the lucky member who pushed us over that milestone, I wonder?
Contrary to recent posts by other members who feel that the strength of ActiveRain has been diluted by the numbers participating and the quality of the posts have diminished since its inception, I personally feel that having more voices here means more experienced to draw from, moe experiences to share, more information to provide and to glean.
It also means more discussion and debate, more disagreements...
And more opportunities for everyone here in the Rain to grow!
Isn't that what ActiveRain is all about - the opportunities for us to grow as professionals, to help not only the consumer but each other?
Sometimes we do that not by writing specifically about real estate or the mortgage industry, or any other real estate related profession, but by sharing insights and stories and humor that may or may not have anything to do with real estate at all...
Because when all is said and done, we are more than just realtors, mortgage lenders, etc. - we are human beings with lives outside of our chosen professions, and we all need a place where we can share the joys and triumphs, as well as the lows and silliness of the days we spend doing what we do.
So here's to making ActiveRain an even better place than it was before...with 150,000+ members to help us all reach that goal!
